Super Heroes Needed:Let’s Change the World Together

September 11, 2018

Everyday I see some injustice in the world; people without a place to call home or enough food to eat, the environment being taken for granted, etc. I know that I’m not alone in this. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by it all and to think that you don’t have the power to do anything about it.

Let me introduce you to the very thing that will change your mind: Volunteering.

You’re probably saying to yourself, well that can’t be all there is to it Gail. But it is. I steadfastly believe that we can and will change the world through our service to others. The beauty of Giving Back is that you take your personal power to make the world a better place. That man is sitting there without food….you can bring him some. Young girls are not going to school because of a lack of menstrual products....you can send them some via any online selling platform. A young man is having a hard time in his geometry class.....you can tutor/mentor him. You. Yes you have the power to create change.

Your Giving Back doesn’t have to change the whole world for it to be effective. You simply have to do your part to change the world around you.

We often think that only big organizations make a big difference but what I’ve seen time and time again is that small, grassroot, love filled, changemakers are the ones providing the real change. These women and men who see a problem in their communities and decide to do their parts to change it.

The great thing is that you too have all the power that you need to change the world. You just have to say yes, follow your heart and see where it leads you.

I created Giving Back With Gail to be a space of inspiration for others to be reminded that they can indeed change the world through service. I hope that you join me. We have work to do.
