Change is Good:The GBWG Blog is Getting a Makeover
When I decided to create Giving Back With Gail, I knew that I wanted to create a space where I could bring together a community of people all working towards the goal of making the world a better place. Along that line, it was mentioned to me that perhaps I should add a blog to my website. I was hesitant as I'd never done one before, but I was also excited to have another way to share my love of service with the world.
So for the past year, (with an unexpected hiatus here and there) I have diligently written and posted a blog each and every Tuesday. It started off so well and I was so excited to have another way to connect with my growing community. Then the reality of the situation gave me pause. I went from happily writing and posting to looking at metrics and overthinking every time only a few people read my blog.
If you write a blog and no body reads it, should you keep writing it? This is the question that sits on my heart a lot as of late. So, I've sat with it, I've asked a few friends for their opinions and I've decided that sometimes it's just a matter of changing how we look at it.
So I am revamping it so that it's more of a vlog than a blog because people are becoming more and more connected with visuals. It also feels better because it connects with my background in film making and my desire to make sure that I stay current with the best ways to share my message with the world. So....thank you for taking the ride with me so far. I have a favor to ask of you. With next week's new look, I'd love it if you could share it with at least two friends.
I am here to be a beneficial presence on the planet and I'm so grateful for the community that we've already created and the one that we continue to grow.
